Spending

Its ridiculous how I can't seem to stop spending.
I have been shopping alot, and buying lotsa neutral colored stuff which is good but I find myself buying too much black and white. I don't want to look like I'm griefing everyday.
I'm so excited though, I got another pair of good boyfriend jean, two items from ingoodcompany.asia- I wish I found out about the brand earlier I'm totally in love with it, stuff from Monki, locally I got a top from OSF and KLARRA and I really don't shop at these shops so it was weird. I haven't had the best experience shopping there but I hope hard that the items arrive in a good fit and quality.

This week was good, I got a marketing job at CYL (they have really pretty jewellery) but I felt like it wasn't for me so I quit (I am going back part time in uni!) and I got a new marketing job in the fashion industry and I'm pretty happy because I love the new working environment too. I managed to put together a fund for my boyfriend's present, a canon 6D and he loves it, that made me really happy. And also, because I celebrated his birthday and I just felt happy, though he got pissed drunk and that was a different experience for me because I'm usually the one who's high.

I will be starting on a new blog soon... though I will still have personal posts here. That would mainly be for photography and lifestyle. I reckon that there will be lesser traffic here because no one gives a shit about my life, but unless you do, you are free to read. I'm craving an aglio olio. Whelp.

The laid-back silhouette pairs nicely with skinny jeans or a knee-length skirt and looks great with the sleeves cuffed or uncuffed.

Everlane

I've ordered two silk shirts from Everlane and I'm super excited! I bought them to be my uniform, along with my new boyfriend jeans from one teaspoon.

It's $80usd per blouse, fairly cheap as compared to equipment, another brand, which costs $200usd.
One of my option was uniqlo's silk blouses(unavailable in sg) but some reviews said that it was thinner and more sheer and that the fit wasn't as good as everlane's. I decided I should invest in good silk so I did. I got S because I wanted a good fit for the shoulders. I think the sleeves are just long, but I'm going to be wearing them cuff most of the time anyways.

Super excited for the package to come in the mail! Will do a review after.

The Perfect Boyfriend Jean

The past few days I've been online searching for the perfect boyfriend jean.
I think most people know that it is now the trend, for awhile now, and it is definitely a wardrobe staple.
I used to hate wearing jeans till I worked at anf and they gave me jeans and it was so well fitted!
I grew out of the color so I need a replacement. Anyone wanna buy my 2 pairs of ANFs? Wanna sell em cheap. Email me!

Anyways, I was looking at J Brand, and One Teaspoon. One Teaspoon has always been an awesome and super lovely brand for jeans as far as I know. Its ALWAYS sold out on Nasty Gal and super expensive for jeans. I really think I took the leap this time and invested in a pair because I am not a jeans person and I would only spend 100 on them but this pair cost me $190 SGD.

What I look for in a perfect boyfriend jean
1. Neat Perfect looking Rips
2. A nice shade
3. Pocket friendly
4. Perfect baggyness
It really depends on what you like wearing!

I got the Cobain One Teaspoon Baggies in 25. I'm usually a UK8 at topshop and 25 at the waist and I wear a 34. I did some research and found that OTS's jeans run super huge! I'm so nervous. I went to ask some strangers on #oneteaspoon on instagram and asked for their regular size and OTS size. I found people who looked the same size as I did. This girl got a 24 but she wears UK6 so I thought I'd try my luck with the half size.

Another problem was finding the perfect shade. I am super particular about jean color. I have a light wash boyfriend jean from thejuicemarket and that was only $30 dollars I think. So I thought I would get a blue medium wash kind of jean. It was also hard to find the true color cause most people only have the studio photo of the jean if not when they are partying in the dark, sigh.

I wanted to settle for this pair because it was free shipping to Singapore (if you want to get it, get it quick!!)

and was in quite a nice color until I saw cobain on oneteaspoon.com.au

I went WOW, what a gorgeous shade. Now the one on Tobi looks dull.
I also realized that if you ship directly from OTS to Singapore, you also pay the same as buying off Tobi. So I thought I'd just get it from OTS's site.

Super excited! I will do a full fit review when I get it :)

Cleared-out

I took time out, like at 12am in the morning last week when I was home from a busy day to finally clear out my wardrobe. I did have problems because I have many new clothes that I knew was out of trend and couldn't be sold for much. I am a prints junkie I really am. I love everything about it, especially a pretty floral piece.
I cleared out most of them and kept one babydoll (which I think I will eventually throw, wait I just decided I will) and a dress that cost alot which I wore and had some sort of sentimental value? So I kept it. Everything else pretty much were plain and in nice neutral ish colors, maybe one or two loud dresses but that's fine. I have cleared out 1/2 of my closet and will do a round two this week. I've decided to also give my clothes away to friends or donate those that are not very nice haa.
I also sold a few items already, mostly Love Bonito, glad that they are sought after if not I'd be losing so much $.
I do admit to shopping though, I know I know I'm clearing out my closet. I got a botanical print and tropical print maxi dress and I'm not proud of it but I gave myself an excuse that I would one day wear it on a beach-vacay, but I guess its fine if I have a few loud pieces. Haha sigh I'm so hopeless.
I also got a nice waist belt, a grey top and two sandals from Asos which look super comfy.
I've been thinking bout minimalism and fashion/style and I find it really hard to fit between the two because yesterday when I was picking out something to wear, I spent about an hour and ended up wearing cobalt....which is not what I'm supposed to be doing. You might wonder why I'm so anal with this whole thing but I just want to be very strict with myself, okay? Haha. So I decided to surf for some nice brands online that really are stylish and fashionable and yet minimalistic. Here are some photos of my fav pieces/looks
1. Celine Spring '14
My current favorite brand although I only have like one bag from there.
Love this skirt, gonna get this. Been into midi's. For every piece I add I should throw one.

2. A.L.C S/S14
Seriously love everything here. Can I have them all

3. Random Hats
As seen on instagram, I've been wearing hats. Not into fedoras but the outfit looks perfect

I'm trying to figure out how I can build my closet, if I get to, I'll do a before and after for sure! First step I did was to change out all the hangers to a uniform grey. I didn't know what color I want my wardrobe to be, it'll either be white, black or in aluminium if I do an open concept so I went with the safest color, grey. I got those non slip velvet hangers because they are so genius and cheap and pant hangers in grey too. The least I could do to make my closet look its best for now!

To end off, this is what I've bought recently. Sandals were very much inspired by Celine and the whole birkenstock trend :P

If anyone's on a wardrobe revamp to, I'd love to hear what you've been up to. :) Please drop me an e-mail if you like!

Pony Pockets Review

Item on a scale of 1-10
1) Quality - 8/10 Great quality but slightly see through. Wore white seamless undies and could be seen at first but switched to nude boy shorts and it couldn't be seen then
2) Fitting - 10/10 Love the fit, cutting and it fits me well. (I'm 1.6m, 48kg, Size 8/ S / EU34 for bottoms)
3) Price - 10/10 Worth the dollars
4) Delivery - 10/10 Super prompt and I don't know why but I got doorstep delivery and I was so happy haha. Nonetheless, speedy delivery Shopping from Pony Pockets kinda reminds me of shopping at LB cause the quality is really of matching standard, they are also manufactured by PP and it just seemed of the same professional level (if that contributes at all to this review!).

I bought two other items from PP and will do reviews too, hopefully next week when I wear 'em :)
I recently went to Bangkok and bought this shorts from PonyPockets because I'm really into white and neutrals now and it was quite a unique cut. I used to really love those origami shorts everywhere and I have them in three colors but I've grown out of them :/ Really love this PonyPockets piece though! Here are some pictures of me in it. Photo taken in Bangkok! Only two photos w back and front view, sorry! If you want to see it you can go to their site!
